The phone interview offers a quick and cost-efficient way to contact respondents. However, it is also dependant on a high land line availability index, which is why we offer phone interviews only in Tbilisi where 84% of all homes are equipped with phones.

Sometimes the target group consists of people who, because of their lifestyle, are difficult to “catch” and impossible to interview in the traditional way: they keep irregular hours, come home late, attend meetings, or travel frequently. To interview such “active” respondents, ACT employs mobile phones. Although slightly more costly than land line interviews, this is often the only way to contact the desired demographic.

ACT is equipped with the latest technological applications for conducting home and mobile phone surveys. Its Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI) system allows for the quicker collection of higher quality information, the reduction of workload and, unlike paper records, automatically controls quotes. ACT’s CATI system consists of 20 workstations and operates from 10 AM to 10 PM.
